upcoming craft show - december 7th

Working away on new items and getting organized for a small craft fair this weekend.
This will be the first, and only for some of the christmas themed pieces, chance at several new items before they get listed on Etsy (hopefully next week).

It's being put together somewhat last minute this year, but it does coincide with Santa in the Junction, so it's a great day to get out for a stroll, stop by the sale, and take in all the local happenings.

The sale takes place on saturday december 7th from 11:00am to 4:00pm and is located at

Hip Kik Belly Dance Studio        406a Pacific Avenue, Toronto, Ontario

For more info and a map check out Holiday Craft Sale
Hope to see you there!

So I'm a little slow at updating here seeing as how I released the start of my mermaid inspired collection in July, but what can I say, my time travelling abilities are currently out of order, so I guess I just have to live with it.  Regardless of timing, here is a small sampling.

If all goes as planned, I will be visiting (and hopefully returning from) the Unseelie Court for this winters theme.  Water sprites will not be left behind as I plan to continue with the mermaid collection and I have some more items to list as soon as I get the chance to photograph them, but I shall shift my focus to slightly darker shores for a while.  We are moving into that time of year after all.

flower in hair; martini in hand; let the celebrating commence

Well, it took a lot longer than I anticipated with lots of hiccups occurring here and there along the way, but I am now finished with my little revival of all things pretty vacant girl.

New web page is ready to go, banners and avatars got an overhaul in my shop and all related social media, Etsy about page is finally complete, shop policies are updated and a billion other little details like ordering new shipping supplies and other such boring tidbits I will spare you from; all taken care of.

And of course, new product!
This actually became the most difficult part for a while.  I had a ton of ideas running wildly through my head, but after so much time spent with administrative tasks and days upon days (upon days) at the computer, it took a bit to get back to a creative head space.

For a while I just stared at all my supplies confused by their purpose, but eventually it came back and it feels sooooo good to be creating again.  I didn't realize how much I had been missing it.

Now I just have to face my usual problem of wanting to keep everything for myself, but as this would require converting large sections of our house into storage space, it reminds me to be even more appreciative of all my wonderful customers.  While I have always been grateful, I now realize that without you, I would have suffocated beneath a pile of supplies and accessories many moons ago.

So, my continued, many thanks to you all!  For so much more than you know!!

it's the final countdown

Switching my Etsy shop to vacation mode for a few weeks as I finish up my revival of all things pretty vacant girl, follow through on some belly dance commitments and finally take a quick nature get-away (to revive myself).  When I re-open the week of July 1st (most likely mid to late week), everything new will be in place – new stock, banners, about page, and so on.  Can’t wait to be back and once again, thanks for your patience!!

hard hats required. preferably ones that resemble ornate headdresses

I am completely and utterly under construction.
If you have stumbled here I can still be found in my Etsy shop.

Hopefully I will be up and running here in a short time, but I am not very good at following my own instructions and keep suffering bumps to the head.
I can remember the ornate part, but tend to forget the safety element of head gear.
Flowers and feathers don't offer much in the way of protection and there are fonts and images coming at me from every direction, and trust me, they're more dangerous then they would appear.
